On the morning of March 4, SF Airlines, a Bao’an-based subsidiary of the logistics giant SF Express, successfully launched its new international cargo route connecting Urumqi, China, with Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. This is the first SF Airlines-operated cargo route in Xinjiang that links China with Pakistan, extending its reach into South Asia. The Urumqi-Islamabad route is scheduled to operate twice a week, providing over 110 tons of air freight capacity for round trips between the two cities. The route primarily caters to cross-border e-commerce goods and general cargo, offering an efficient and stable air logistics channel for Xinjiang’s products to reach international markets. With the addition of Islamabad, SF Airlines now serves three major cities in Pakistan, including Karachi, the country’s largest city, and Lahore, its second largest. The operation of multiple international routes not only strengthens the air logistics network for economic and trade exchanges between China and Pakistan but also provides enhanced logistics support for Chinese brands looking to gain a foothold in Pakistan and other markets in South Asia.
