Founded in December 1991, Shenzhen Yuanping Special Education School currently has 71 classes, 362 faculty members (including 213 teachers) and 820 students with various disabilities. It is the only comprehensive special education school providing "one-stop" services for children and adolescents with hearing impairment, visual impairment, mental retardation, autism and cerebral palsy from preschool education to high school vocational education. It is also a special education base in Guangdong Province and a special education experiment base of the National Institute of Education Sciences.
